Key Activities

• Provide technical assistance to NMCP for Active Case Detection of malaria and diagnosis as per national policy for migrant/mobile population through the use of worksite volunteers/village health volunteers and/or mobile teams
• Provide support to Department of Food and Drug Administration (DFDA) to strengthening drug quality monitoring and drug sample analysis to detect fake antimalarials and substandard drugs
• Provide technical assistance to NMCP to raise community awareness on early diagnosis and quality treatment on malaria in terms of IEC/BCC strategy
• Provide technical assistance to NMCP in LLINs distribution in term of microplanning, monitoring LLIN coverage
• Provide technical assistance to NMCP for malaria surveillance, monitoring and evaluation
• As secretariat of Malaria TSG, WHO will support the Chair of Malaria TSG (DOH/VBDC) to help ensure that the Malaria TSG serves as a forum for consensus building to address technical and operational challenges
