Key Activities

1. Procurement of antimalarial drugs, RDTs, microscopy consumables, insecticides and LLINs
2. The targeted mass distribution will be in high and moderate communes based on updated 2022 stratification. LLIHNs will be distributed to forest goers and single nets will be distributed to high risk populations (people working in the farms) in Lai Chau Province and the Border forces
3. Mass drug administration in Lai Chau Province and Targeted drug administration in Central 3 Provinces for malaria elimination
4. Case investigation and classification
5. Foci investigation and responses according to national surveillance guidelines, within 7 days. Then, follow-up activities for all active foci after one month and investigation of residual foci after 3 years
6. Pro Active case detection, FSAT in the villages and at the work sites in the forest and farms lead by Central and Provincial level
7. Compliance of 14-day Pv follow up
8. IRS in targeted areas
9. Capacity building trainings on malaria diagnosis, microscopy training, case management, surveillance, reporting and usage of eCDS-MMS, vector classification/identification, vector control measures for different levels of health care staff
10. Monitoring and supervision visits by central and provincial level in the areas of epidemiology, vector control and programme management
11. Communication and advocacy events at central and provincial levels for prevention of re-establishment of malaria
12. Advocacy and transition planning meetings at central and subnational levels for mobilization of domestic funding for malaria control and elimination activities after the grant period
