Key Activities

• Baseline demographic and health services survey before implementation of model
• Pilot testing of model in villages in townships of Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwaddy and Kayah, Myanmar and in villages in a district in Savannakhet province, Lao PDR.
• Endline demographic and health services survey after implementation of model
• Procurement of materials, medicines and/or resources to be utilized by the VHV to address the illnesses/diseases identified in stage 1 as part of the malaria intervention model.
• Training for the VHV in diagnosis, treatment and/or referral to address elimination model illnesses/diseases.
• Data collection trainings for the VHV.
• Distribution and monitoring systems will be developed and put in place.
• Appropriate and ongoing engagement with village leaders, local government health offices and health facilities, for the collection of data and in the implementation of the elimination model.
