Key Activities

• Develop and implement new Integrated Drug Efficacy Surveillance (iDES) protocol in the low endemic areas.
• Consultation, orientation & planning meeting for efficacy monitoring in low endemic areas.
• Training of health staff at local level on the drug efficacy monitoring protocol for low endemic areas.
• Supportive supervision visit by district level staff to the TES sites.
• Annual sub-regional level drug efficacy meeting with GMS countries.
• Regional monitoring of molecular markers of drug resistance and production of interactive maps.
• Conduct expert review group meetings to review and give recommendations on monitoring and response to resistance.
• Support for continual online sharing of findings in monitoring of molecular marker of drug resistance.
